Well... I'm not entierly sure this is the proper place to say this. I sertainly mean no disrespect to Skunkerchick. But I think it's a bit short sighted to say Punks dead. Beacause thats assuming punk was ever really alive. Punk, if you ask me was never more then a name. It was a title ascribed to a movment of people, the names sort of been lost, but the movments still here. There's still rebelion in the world, there's still the endless fight against control and the "fight against social consequence" as Greg Graffin once put it. Punk the word may belong to others. And even then I'm not so ready to toss in the towel on the title eather. But punk as in the grand consept, there was never a set manufesto, this is true, but there was still a mentalaty, and this, even if the "punk movment" has lost sight of that, there are people in the world who havnt, whats more there will always be people in the world who beleave this. So long as the greater ideals of just fighting against the norm, against mediocraty, and against the corupt and just... well.. fighting. So long as there are people like that in the world, punk as a grander concept will never die. And frankley, thats more importent. I dont put much stawk in titles.
